Have taken this opportunity to have a good old trawl through your flickr photos. There was a lovely one of, I think, frescoes in a church but I had the speed on high and the snap disappeared and I couldn't get back to it. Wonder what it was...

Great advent calendar enjoying it after a friend sent me the link.

Search for a Diana Vickers post on Youtube, Everybody Hurts ( with subtitles) to shows how language is in the ear of the beholder. Yes she is singing in English.

Oh, BiB, now you asked an impossible one. Frescoes? Hmm, could it have been this:

or this:

They're not from a church, though...

Oh and welcome Whitearound. I'm really glad you have liked the calendar :) [wanders off to visit YouTube now]

Darling, I was a very good boy and did an even more thorough trawl and it is these (sorry, still can't link properly): http://www.flickr.com/photos/taigafox/394216941/ and http://www.flickr.com/photos/taigafox/394216950/
Planning to go to Espoo this afternoon to have a closer look. Wonderful.

Oh, I had forgotten those ones completely! There are also some really good ones (frescoes, not my photos) all around Åland if you want to visit some day. I think I might have some photos somewhere, but they're pre-digi ones and I have no idea where they might be.
Anyway, how was Espoo?

Darling, it was heaven. Tram no. 50 from the end of our street, then the Berlin-Espoo express train only takes 20 minutes.

I've sailed past Åland - darling, where is our Fenno-pride? Why aren't we saying Ahvenanmaa? - and, though it was hard to see inside churches from a ship, it all looked perfectly gorgeous, especially with a summer sunset to sex up the view.

Word verification: Ahvenanmaaactually
