Easter eggs

I was just slightly wondering... I was dyeing these eggs, some of them with onion and some of them with turmeric. Why is one of the eggs still white? It was soaking in the boiling hot turmeric water for ages, but it's still white. Is it an albino? If the egg would be a human, would it be having trouble with getting any tan?
